Cadillac LYRIQ Roof Cross Rails: Part, Sunroof, and Load Checks
Cadillac Accessories lists GM part 85009925 as a LYRIQ roof cross-rail package with two removable rails and an attachment kit. The current listing names 2024–2027 model years and the Luxury, Sport, V Premium, Premium Luxury, Signature Luxury, V, Signature Sport, and Premium Sport trims. Match the vehicle and current dealer fitment before ordering; a product listing is not an installation or vehicle-load result.

Check which instructions apply
The listing describes the cross rails as engineered to meet the vehicle’s fit standards and the “full utility” of its sunroof. Its linked installation sheet, however, says not to use the sunroof while the crossbar system is installed. Follow the specific installation warning: keep the sunroof closed with this system fitted unless Cadillac supplies a later instruction for the exact vehicle and kit. The general product description does not override the more specific operating warning.
The linked sheet is titled for a 2024 Cadillac LYRIQ and says not to install these crossbars on a different vehicle or model year. Although the current product page lists later LYRIQ years, that 2024 sheet does not establish the installation procedure for 2025–2027. Obtain the instructions that match the vehicle’s model year, part, and market before installation. Cadillac recommends that an authorized dealer perform the initial installation.
Use the correct 2024 load boundary
For the 2024 LYRIQ application named in the linked sheet, the crossbar system and the load placed on it together must not exceed 110 lb (50 kg). That total includes the rack system; it is not a cargo-only allowance. The vehicle’s own limit or another attachment’s limit may be lower, so check the exact Owner’s Manual and every component’s instructions. Cadillac’s product page also says load capacity varies by make, model, and trim and directs owners to the installation instructions before loading.

The instruction sheet identifies separate front and rear bars and marked positions, and says the installation requires two people to avoid vehicle damage. Use its diagrams and sequence rather than inferring a location from another rack. Do not operate the sunroof with the system installed under the 2024 instructions.
Before buying or loading
- Match the model year, trim, market, VIN application, and GM part number with Cadillac or an authorized dealer.
- Get the matching installation sheet, especially for 2025–2027 vehicles; the linked 2024 instructions expressly limit their use to that model year.
- For the 2024 sheet’s application, count crossbar-system weight together with cargo under the 110 lb (50 kg) limit, then check the vehicle and accessory limits that apply to the exact setup.
- Keep the sunroof closed while the crossbar system is installed under the specific instruction sheet. Confirm any later or different guidance with Cadillac before using the roof.
The listed part and trim table provide a starting point, not a complete fitment matrix for every roof option, year, accessory, or load. For general approval and mounting checks, see the EV and glass-roof rack approval guide.
